A trigger kit adds or replaces the positive spring-loaded latch mechanism on a rigging hook, converting an open hook to a latched one or restoring a worn trigger latch to like-new function.

Will a Trigger Kit fit any hook style?

No - trigger latch geometry is specific to a hook model and throat shape, so kits are matched by hook manufacturer and model rather than sold as a universal fit.

Does installing a Trigger Kit change the hook's working load limit?

No - a trigger kit is a retention feature, not a load-bearing component, so it doesn't change the hook's stamped WLL. Confirming the base hook's own rating is still done separately, from the tag or certificate.
